The calendar feature is an extension of Mobile Email Work’s existing access to business email accounts. Sprint worked with SEVEN to create Mobile Email Work, which now allows Instinct users to access work calendars from Microsoft Exchange Server 2000, 2003 or 2007 accounts, or IBM Lotus Domino accounts.

Mobile Email Work with corporate calendar synch includes monthly and daily views of the user’s calendar, along with an appointment view that displays the details about each appointment or meeting. Reminders bring upcoming appointments or meetings to the user’s attention. Reminders bring upcoming appointments or meetings to the user’s attention. Users can edit existing appointments, accept or decline meeting requests, or create new single-date, multi-date or all-day appointments. Users also can delete appointments and meetings. All changes made on the Sprint phone are automatically synchronized with the user’s desktop calendar.

For Instinct users, the corporate calendar feature will be provided as a software update to customers with Mobile Email Work. Customers who are new to Sprint Mobile Email and want to activate the service can do so directly through the email menu - no software download is required. Once email is activated, customers will be prompted to accept the upgrade to enable corporate calendar access.

In addition to the Samsung Instinct, Sprint plans to extend corporate calendar synch to additional non-PDA phones in the future.

    Fly LX 500

    |

This is the first Fly mobile I've used for quite some time. The build quality of the phone is pretty good overall; much better than the initial impression created in my mind. The LX 500 is a slider phone and its sliding mechanism is pretty good. The phone has a lot of metal in its build. The battery cover and the edges around the phone are metallic, to prevent the phone from damage.

From the face, the Fly LX 500 looks large especially because of its large screen. The D-Pad, menu keys, and calling keys are all well spaced out; however, I think the feedback could have been a bit smoother. The alphanumeric keypad of the phone is soft and evenly lit. Typing is pretty comfortable with most of the keys except for the last row, which makes typing uncomfortable because of the chin below it.

The rear of the phone has a speaker at the top; a 3.2 MP camera, with a tiny LED flash, is right below the speaker. The battery compartment of the phone houses the microSD slot. It is funny that the flash card slot isn't hot-swappable. Interestingly, the SIM card can easily be taken out without removing the battery. The lanyard loophole is situated at the top of the phone.

    FlySLT100 OR Fly Mobile SX210

    |

his is a stylus driven device with built-in handwriting recognition, but you can also use an on-screen keyboard. Of course, as it's a slider phone you can use the keypad if you prefer.

The other features on the Fly Mobile SLT100 are pretty good too - there's a 2 megapixel camera with a flash, microSD expandable memory, an MP3/AAC player, video player, FM radio, Bluetooth, web browser and a set of personal information management functions.
http://www.mobilegazette.com/handsets/other/fly-slt100/fly-slt100-1.jpgn terms of size, the Fly SLT100 is pretty typical for a GSM device, coming in at 96 x 49 x 14.9mm and 101 grams in weight. The talktime is a pretty short 2.5 hours with 7.5 days standby time. The battery is only a 600mAh module, which we think is a little on the feeble side, although in all honesty the battery life is probably good enough for most people.

It's not exactly a stunning phone to look at, but it is a neatly laid out device with some quite classy looking metallic highlights. Standard colours are a grey-sliver, black and the almost inevitable pink, although these will vary from operator to operator.

The Fly Mobile SLT100 is certainly no iPhone killer, but it's incredibly good value for money and the touchscreen will appeal to many. At this sort of price range, the SLT100 is likely to find its way into many Christmas stockings.

    Fly mobile Hummer

The Hummer comes with a 262K color LCD with touch screen, a 2MP camera, 256MB MicroSD card bundled, FM radio and MP3 player. The phone is just one amongst 15 more to be launched in the next quarter itself, as informed by CEO, Rajiv Khanna. "We have plans to get really aggressive in the market, but as of now the strategy calls for streamlining the business channels before we can start work on branding," he said.

The phone will cost Rs 10,000 in the market and is customized with Hummer paint color.

    FLY Virgin Mobile

    http://www.pocketpicks.co.uk/latest/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/sl399e-closed.jpg

Fly Mobile announced the £100 touchscreen SLT 100. The new one is called the SL399e and is a pink clamshell, so presumably it’s aimed at women.

It has a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, a MP3 player, memory card support and a colour screen inside.

It doesn’t sound particularly exciting, but that’s because you haven’t heard the price yet- £39.99. Yes, that’s right, a sub-£40 prepay handset just in time for Christmas.
